In Surah Mujadalah, Allah (swt) speaks about zihaar. Can you please explain to me the conditions of zihaar? My husband once got angry with me and told me that he cared about his mum more than me. Was that zihaar?

Question:

In Surah Mujadalah, Allah (swt) speaks about zihaar. Can you please explain to me the conditions of zihaar? My husband once got angry with me and told me that he cared about his mum more than me. Was that zihaar? Jazakallah Khair.

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

The details of zihaar are many. If you want to know the details of zihaar, you should consult a Fiqh book.

Regarding what your husband uttered, it is not zihaar.
