How is witr prayer offered?

Question:

How is witr prayer offered?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Witr prayer is three rak’ats and is offered just like Maghrib prayer. The only difference is that in the third rak’at of Witr, after reciting Surah Fatiha, you must recite another surah; thereafter, say takbeer (Allahu Akbar), raise your hands to your ears, put your hands back where they were (on the stomach, beneath the navel) and recite dua qunoot. Thereafter, say takbeer and go into ruku’ and continue the prayer as normal.

And Allah knows best.
