Darul Ifta Australia (Australian Institute of Islamic Jurisprudence) Inc. is a non-profit organisation based in Melbourne, Australia.

The organisation was officially opened on the 3rd of September, 2011 under the instruction and supervision of Mufti Ebrahim Desai sahib (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) of South Africa (of www.askimam.org and www.daruliftaa.net). The opening took place at the residence of Mufti Faizal Riza, the president of the organisation and student of Mufti Ebrahim Desai Sahib. Over a dozen Ulama and Muftis attended the gathering for the opening.

The purposes of Darul Ifta Australia are as follows:

1) To provide a reliable fatwa service to the Muslim community related to all aspects of a Muslim’s life including: worship (Salat, Zakat, Fasting, Hajj etc.),  business transactions, marriage, divorce, inheritance, bequests, funerals etc.
2) To offer ifta training (mufti course) for ulama.
3) To offer free publications with the aim of educating the Muslim community.
4) To promote Islamic educational programmes for the benefit of the Muslims.

Darul Ifta Australia is registered with Consumer Affairs Victoria as a not-for-profit organisation.

Darul Ifta Australia specialises in the Hanafi school of Fiqh (madhab) and provides fatwas based on the same school.
